Tom’s 12-year career in the Australian and United Kingdom construction industries has spanned diverse roles in cost management, quantity surveying, and building consultancy.

Tom’s international background has enriched his expertise in cost consultancy, post-contract functions, and construction technology. Drawing from his extensive experience in the industry both in Australia and abroad, Tom excels in deriving cost information from diverse sources, including benchmarking, suppliers, contractors, and first principles.

His expertise in efficiently handling claims and variations showcases his commitment to success. With a background in building surveying before moving into quantity surveying, combined with proficiency in construction technology, benchmarking, and cost estimation, Tom is an invaluable asset to any project.

Tom completed a Bachelor of Science in Building Surveying with Honours from Heriot-Watt University. He is an APC Assessor and Counsellor at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and an active Member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MAIQS). Tom also acts as a committee member working to increase engagement with early-stage quantity surveyors.
